A whopping 24% of people traveled alone back in 2015 on vacation, and our love of solo travel hasn’t deterred in recent years. In light of this, we thought we’d list some of our favorite places for singles to travel to.

Let’s dive on in!

1. Cancun, Mexico

This region is a tropical paradise. Although spring break is typically associated with this places, there’s almost every kind of resort you could imagine here.

The white sandy beaches are immaculate, and the crystal clear turquoise waters are incredibly inviting. It’s the ideal place for you to enjoy an afternoon swim.

Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, you could give a new water sport a crack. Perhaps you might fancy renting a kayak? This is one of the best ways to take in the breathtaking views this place has to offer.

Alternatively, if you’re interested in history and culture, then you’ll love the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza and Tulum. These are a few hot spots that shouldn’t be missed.

Or, if you want to experience buzzing nightlife, Cancun is the place to be. It’s packed full of beach bars, various nightclubs, and live music.

All in all, this is a town that caters for all ages and tastes, so no matter what you’re interested in, you’re sure to enjoy your stay.

2. Las Vegas, Nevada

You’ve probably heard the phrase; “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas,.” This is one of the reasons, so many single visitors flock to this city.

It’s famous for its lavish casinos and a fabulous place to go and see some of the best entertainers across the globe.

Or, if you’re an adrenaline junky then you probably already know that Las Vegas is home to a thrilling roller coaster located on top of the Stratosphere Tower.

There’s so much to see and do here; you’ll be hard pushed to get bored.

If you’re a foodie, this city certainly won’t disappoint. It offers tons of first-class dining experiences, some of which are run by celebrity chefs.

It doesn’t matter what you’re into, whether it be motorsports or relaxing by the pool, Las Vegas has something for you. In light of this, you may need more than one week to do this place justice.

3. Austin, Texas

Austin, AKA the ‘Live Music Capital of the World’, is famous for its legendary nightlife. Plus, it’s home to some of the most amazing BBQ food you’ll ever taste.

If you go to Austin, you can’t miss a trip to Barton Springs Pool, the natural springs feed it, and the temperature stays roughly around 68-70 degrees all year!

Top Tip: plan your trip so you can go to the South by Southwest festival. This brings together the best technology, film, and music venues; and is a guarenteed good time!

4. Miami, Florida

If you’re after tropical weather, stunning beaches, and thrilling nightlife, then Miami is the place to be.

If you want to try your hand at scuba diving or snorkeling, then you’ll have ample opportunity in Florida. Just head over to South Beach, and enjoy everything this place has to offer.

If you’d like a taste of Cuban culture, then you need to visit Little Havana. You’ll sample some of the finest Cuban food you’ll ever taste. in their delicious cafes and restaurants.

Or, try one of their famous Cuban cigars in one of their many Cigar Shops. Watch the experts hand roll cigars, and pick your favorite for an after dinner puff.

If you’re a shopaholic, Miami won’t disappoint. From gorgeous boutiques to fabulous malls, this is a haven for those who love to shop until you drop.

Then, once the sun goes down, head over to Miamis legendary nightclubs for a fun filled evening full of music and dancing. There’s nothing better than letting your hair down and having a good time after a day of sightseeing

5. Santorini, Greece

Santorini is one of Greece’s most famous islands, and for a good reason. It’s full of wonderful beaches, ancient ruins, and delicious foods.

Enjoy a glass of local wine and soak in the fabulous atmosphere, at one of many of the authentic Greek wineries.

One of the best things to do during your stay, is to jump aboard a catamaran and take a cruise around the island; it’s the best way to see all the beautiful coves and beaches.

Or, if you fancy some much-need rest and relaxation, you might prefer to chill out on one of their black sandy beaches. Absorb the beautiful sights of the crystal clear Aegean, and sip on one of your favorite cockatils.

We thoroughly recommend taking a boat trip and walking up the volcano. Although it’s sleeping, its still reported as active; once you’re at the top, you’ll be happy you made an effort. The panoramic views are divine.
